Motion:
To give complimentary FNPS memberships to all non-members who donated money and supplies to the Emergency Sandhill Rescue project.

[Membership]

 The Membership Committee Report is attached.

Please note the Motion to the Board of Directors:

Motion: to hire a  “Chapter Liaison/Membership Coordinator” for $25 or $30K per year.  This position would facilitate a close working relationship between the Board and the Council and would assist Chapters with organization, building membership and work closely with the Membership and Development Committees and provide program guidance.

Motion: to establish a committee to investigate and write job descriptions for new staff positions, in addition to an  Executive Director.

Attached is a document with the Motion above and pertinent background information on the role of the Chapter Liaison/Membership Coordinator position.

Posted is also the BOD and EXCOM Report Guidelines file  from 2015. It would be good to have consistent report formatting for our meetings and File names that reflect the date the Report name and author.

Two motions for the Board:

Motion:
To accept the Bylaws and application of the Big Bend Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society as a new chapter.

Motion:
To consider reinstating the Teddi Bierly Chapter Grant Program in 2018 in an amount to be determined by the Board of Directors.

News item: we have begun work on a fundraising campaign for #givingtuesday.  Attached is the "Toolkit" for Giving Tuesday, which is November 28th.  Facebook, in cooperation with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will be matching up to $2 million in donations to nonprofit organizations (a limit of $10,000 per organization).  It is also "first come" until the $2 million runs out.
