Citrus Chapter report:
May:
-We offered to survey the plants along the YMCA nature trail, as a first step towards our chapter being able to use the trail.
-We had a member offer her garden to new members who wanted to come to dig native plants up.
-We held a plant sale in conjunction with a wildflower lecture at a local State Park. This was the first time we took credit card payment (via Square), which was about a third of the sales.
-3 members attended the Annual Conference.
June:
-We started a new endeavor to hold a member only activity once a month during our summer break. June, was a carpool to a home tour - there was some interest but it didn't happened.
-I represented FNPS for a Land Management Review at Cedar Key Scrub Preserve State Park, and attended a FPAN Heritage Monitoring Scout workshop, to learn what I should be looking for at cultural sites on LMRs.
July:
-We had a member only crafting day where participants could create some native/nature themed crafts. We had several attend and gained one Family membership, so that a new member could bring her sister and granddaughter.
Aug:
-I represented FNPS for a Land Management Review at Goethe State Forest.
-We have scheduled a member only "Morning at the Extension Garden", where members may come between 9-12 for any/all of weeding and rehoming native plants from one of our demo-gardens, a workshop on plant propagation, and then a potluck social.
