Motion: to approve a Contract with True Hire to perform criminal background checks on nominees for FNPS Officer positions, with a one-time cost of $99.
Recommend establishing an account with True Hire, and using True Hire's Basic Package of $12.99 for each nominee , with an additional cost of $10 in the event of an alias/maiden name and a possible additional cost for the access fee required by some Clerks of Court, depending on the nominee's county of residence.
The cost for the background check would be paid by the nominee.
This background check would require that the FNPS President inform the FNPS Executive Director of the name of any nominee for an FNPS Officer position, the Executive Director to inform True Hire of that name, the nominee to provide True Hire with identifying information, to include the Nominee's Social Security number. Once True Hire provides the Executive Director with the results of the criminal record check, the Executive Director would inform the FNPS president of any disqualification due to a felony conviction. True Hire would inform the nominee of the results of the background check and the nominee would be able to challenge any results.
