I would like to make a motion to rescind the decision made at the last board meeting regarding the Bylaws revision.
It didn’t really fix anything as there are other paragraphs that need re-wording.
Our bylaws are a maze and are still out of compliance with State statutes and there are negatives for doing a partial ‘fix’ as Carol Sullivan brought up.
I suggest we wait and complete the bylaws overhaul before submitting them for a vote of the membership. I propose that we do this quickly in the next few months and call for a special meeting of the membership to vote on the bylaws.
The Slate proposed by the nominating committee would remain the same as before ( VP admin, Pres-Elect and 3 Dir at Large). Other director additions will have to wait because we don’t currently have a mechanism for adding directors up to the limit of 22 that would be in compliance with State Statutes.
Please note that we need someone (a committee?) to be responsible for reviewing changes in State Statutes to ensure that our bylaws stay in compliance.
