Please see the attached Policy Committee report, and please note that we wish for the BoD to consider a request and motion for the Board to endorse a policy brief on Lethal Bronzing Disease, developed jointly with Dr. Jack Putz of UF, and thereby allow the FNPS logo to be affixed to the final document. FNPS has previously considered the threat LBD represents for native cabbage palms. As explained in the report, several other conservation organizations have already agreed to endorse the document. We are also requesting that Communications Director Valerie Anderson be assigned to assist in formatting the document of publication. A copy of the most recent draft is included as an attachment to the report.
