Please find my Education Committee update.
We are very close to having the 'Mow Less' brochures in English and Spanish ready for printing on demand.

I have attached the DRAFT versions.  Yes, there are still errors...working on that. Wendy

My Conservation Committee report is attached. We have two applications for the Conservation Grant award, they are in review. We did not have any applications for the Dan Austin Award but did have one expression of interest for next year.

Our Bylaws Committee report and working products - 1) the original FNPS bylaws with additions from attorney 2) our revised work product 3) a one-page synopsis of major changes. They remain in the MS Word format to preserve the original insertions and comments.

Here are two financial reports, downloaded on March 14, 2022:

Statement of Financial Position
Statement of Activity

I do not have a Budget vs. Actuals yet that show the "new" budget figures.

I am submitting this as head of the Nominating Committee and someone who has been on the nominating committee for (I think) 5 years in the past., a former Membership Chair, and the person who did most of the membership database configuration.

I am making a series of proposed changes to the By-laws Committee's proposed modifications.

1.  Increasing member access to voting
2.  Suggested language for membership -- what is presented is inconsistent with membership procedures that have been in place for years and which will be costly to implement since they ignore the realities and benefits of the membership management software that FNPS has been using for about 10 years (CiviCRM and formerly DonorPerfect) and inconsistent with other current membership management systems that I am aware of.
3.  Running elections to allow both for fair access by people who self-nominate and to allow for distribution of information about all candidates in a timely manner so that members can make informed choices.
4.  Eliminating any potential that the Board to vote to be pay itself

This has been quite a month -- my sense is one of working full time for FNPS at $0 per hour.  I am sure I am not the only one.

I hope we get everyone thanked, including staff, volunteers, and contractors who have been working hard to keep FNPS running until a new ED is hired.

Communications Report attached -- in many ways, it goes beyond what the Communications Committee normally does, but it is heavy on communications and coordination of one form or another.
