Per multiple-times expressed desire, I went through the handbook and changed policy links that went to a general policy page to links to specific policies to make it easier to use.
I also saw some very obvious errors (for example FNPS can and does give multiple Green Palmetto awards annually, whereas the handbook said one only for each of multiple categories).
I also found and fixed broken links.
As a generality, I think this did not need to be done by the ED. Almost all content in it is created by volunteers (Board members), and using the ED as a secretary does not make a whole lot of sense. A volunteer was doing it pre-Juliet and I suggest that we return this simple task to a volunteer. The handbook is a Get-Simple website, so we have multiple volunteers who know how to edit them, and just like the previous volunteer, we can also teach someone.
I am sure there are more issues, but these are a good start. Please review:
https://handbook.fnps.org I hereby move that the Board approved the changes to the FNPS handbook as indicated by strike-outs and yellow highlighting.Since this is not creating new policy, just fixing minor errors and inserting updated or better links, I think this could appropriately be included in the Consent Agenda.
