May 2024 Science Advisory Committee Report
Several BOD actions are requested in the posted report.
1. Approval of one Cornelia McNamara grant award
2. Approval of five Research Grant awards
3. Budget change to award five Research  Grant awards rather than four.
4. Consideration of monarchs and milkweeds statement

Report attached for review. No big news.

[Conservation Committee Report]

The Conservation Committee did not meet in April. We plan to hold our regular meeting on the third Tuesday in May at 6:30.  We proposed an additional Conservation Grant Award of $1900 to the project "Restoration of a functional pineland ecosystem in Northern Miami-Dade County", if funds are available.

If funds are available - we propose a motion to the BOD to approve this additional expenditure - a motion to approve a Conservation Grant Award in the amount of $1900 to Raul Moas for the project "Restoration of a functional pineland ecosystem in Northern Miami-Dade County"
