I hear your pain! Here in east central FL we have a place we can post articles and pictures called YourNews. It has been trial and error. Some times I find the place to post calendar notices, other times I find the story posting page. They are looking for pictures also.
If you strike it right, your news may get into print.... otherwise it sits in cyberland waiting for someone to find it.....
Locally we have a publishing company (Gulfstream) that puts out slick magazines. Have met a writer for our local magazine who is interested in writing about environmental stories. (She once worked on local newspaper.)
Can we feed her info on the founding of FNPS & 30th anniversary? NOW is the time to get that done for publication closer to our conference and the "Florida Native Plant Day" or is that a "week" in May.
Can the publications committee work with Communications and PR to help us all learn how to get our story on line more actively? Have we located Twitter and Facebook members who are willing to galvanize people around Fl natives???
Keep at it. The word must & will get out. Joan B
