Hi Pres,
I've worked on accumulating a list of conservation active/minded personnel at the request of Juliet Rynear, Conservation Committee Chair. Toward that end Shirley Denton created a comma separated email list of the Chapter Reps and Chapter Presidents. I have about a 25 % return from the Chapter Reps and plan to ask the Presidents to prompt more responses or solicit the information directly if they have no chapter rep.
Regarding your request that I write a job description for Director at Large, it's still a bit puzzling. I told you I plan to work for ratification of Amendment One, The Legacy Amendment, coming up in this November's election. Beyond that: Serving at the direction of the President or Board of Directors on issues as they come up seems to cover it.

Karina,

I noted "Speakers Bureau: Project is dead"  I think the council of Chapters is working in this direction. Might be a better effort than with Education although they should be involved as well.

Is this a new committee?  Needs Board vote to form any new standing committees.  Ideally there would be a fleshed out proposal of the committee formation so that we know the responsibilities and purpose of the committee.  If it is the Conference Committee, traditionally, the Conference Committee chair steps down in May.  The FNPS website lists Jan Blue as the new Chair, although that appointment needs to be recommended by Anne (President) and then voted on by the BOD.

Thanks, Steve.  This is my error.  The Agenda calls this the Conference Committee. I inadvertently added the word "Planning."  Isn't that just like me!

Anyway, it is my understanding that the 2014 Conference Chair will conclude her duties when that conference is officially closed.  Right now, it is still open and I have not stepped down yet.  To my knowledge, I have not been kicked to the curb yet.  However, I am in touch with Jan Blue and included that in the attached report.  It doesn't look like Jan posted a report, so I think this action is proper.

Thank you for pointing that out.  I'm sure it will get cleared up during the conference call on Monday.

Have a good weekend!
